SiloSmashers Names New Vice President, Business Development
FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- SiloSmashers, a leading management and technology consulting firm, recently named Bruce Higgins Jr. as Senior Vice President, Business Development. In his role as a member of the SiloSmashers executive team, Mr. Higgins will lead the company-wide business development effort.
Mr. Higgins background includes over 12 years of executive level sales, marketing and operations experience in the technology industry including positions such as Vice President of Information Technology Strategy and Execution line of business at SiloSmashers and Chief Information Officer at Michael Baker Corporation, a $550 million dollar global Engineering and Energy company.
Mr. Higgins was previously the Vice President of Information Technology Strategy and Execution for SiloSmashers where he has been responsible for the successful growth and delivery of services related to the complete life cycle of Information Technology strategic level consulting.
Prior to joining SiloSmashers, Mr. Higgins was employed by Michael Baker Corporation as the Information Technology Program Executive to the Multi- Hazard Flood Map Modernization (MHFMM) Program. He was responsible for managing program assets in excess of $750 million and was instrumental in leading the team's information technology delivery and performance, including management of the program timeline, deliverables, and reporting. He provided leadership, executive oversight and control of the costs, schedules, and performance and was the primary interface with FEMA executive leadership.
Previous to his role on this program, Mr. Higgins was the Chief Information Officer for Michael Baker Corporation. In this capacity, he lead the Information Technology program initiatives and consulting practices, with responsibility for all worldwide operations, service delivery, strategic development, sales and marketing of the global IT division.
Mr. Higgins has been published for his Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation accomplishments in CIO Magazine and the Pittsburgh Business Times. He has been a keynote speaker for numerous Gartner conferences on information technology implementation program management, e-procurement and IT consulting services. He is an active member of a number of professional organizations including the Industry Advisory Council (IAC), Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
